Conference and school “Neuroelectronics and Neurotechnologies of the Future” grew out of the “Neurotechnologies and Neuroelectronics” section of the international conference “Volga Neuroscience Meeting” organized in Nizhny Novgorod and seeks to bring together two large scientific communities engaged in the creation of a new component base for neuroelectronics and information-computing systems based on the architecture and principles of brain functioning, on the one hand, and the direct study of the brain, its functions and the development of technologies for its restoration and enhancement, on the other hand. Such a convergence seems inevitable in the near future and will lead to qualitative technological breakthroughs in the creation of bio- and neurohybrid systems based on the artificial electronic and living biological systems symbiosis.
The conference will present future technologies for restoring and improving brain functions developed on the basis of:
– Novel scientific-technological approaches to the development of biosimilar nanomaterials (memristors) and the neuroelectronics element base
– Novel neuromorphic principles of information storage and processing
– Novel principles of neurosensorics and neurocontrol in biomorphic robotics.

Biosimilar electronic nanomaterials
In this section, current issues and future developments of technologies for fabrication and characterization of brain-like memristive nanomaterials for the realization of a new neuroelectronics component base as well as neuromorphic computing systems will be discussed.
Neuromorphic computing systems
The work of this section is devoted to the discussion of issues related to the study of information processing neuromorphic principles in modern and emerging computing systems, as well as design and development of such systems on both classical and new electronic component base.
New component base for brain-like information computing systems
The goal of the section is the productive discussion of the development prospects and technological evolution of the component base on new physical principles represented by elements of non-volatile memory, functional modules of memory chips and neuromorphic computing systems. The list of issues also addresses the challenges of developing necessary materials, devices, compact models and design tools for new information computing systems.
Neurotechnology and biomorphic robotics
The section will discuss scientific-technical challenges of modern brain research with a focus on the development of brain neural networks modelling technologies, the development of technologies and devices that implement cognitive functions of the brain, as well as neurointerfaces that extend human functional capabilities. There will be also addressed current trends in the development of autonomous cyber-physical and biomorphic robotic systems.
